Verified Reviewer | Miami, FloridaHorrible.
Was dismissed in April of 2023, school closed september 28th-30th. People still contact me saying I owe $6,008 directly to the school.
After many, MANY failed attempts to tell them that I literally and seriously cannot afford to even have a repayment plan, they still want me to repay this money, only now my deadline is December 23rd 2023. At the time of writing this very well deserved 1 star review, it is currently December 3rd 2023.
- Students can become your friends
- Professors too harsh
- Many many more
- School work load exceeding 12 hours a day
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: They’re closed so good for them
Just burn the whole institution down.
There. I said it. Want a reason for revolution? Well, this is one, BIG *** reason. All of the"institutions" that claim higher education when all they deliver is more hopelessness and debt, school shouldn't be, having to go in debt to an entity that has ZERO morals or ethics, for a defective and outmoded product. This system is rigged to break us. Not make us.
This ends.

Financial Aide Department
We have had the worst time with financial aid in losing documents either via email or in person. My daughter had an issue with them sending her account to collections without ever notifying her that she had an outstanding balance.
When we called to inquire, financial aide sent her an excel spreadsheet instead of a bill. Upon further investigation we found that they had incorrectly applied payments from parent plus loans, student loans and ART grants. The financial aide department had credited funds then reversed them, only to credit and reverse again several times which ultimately led to them saying they refunded stipends in which we never got. There was an overage of approximately of 9k in payments in which 6500.00 they said we still owed the school.
It was only when we threatened legal action that they took us serious. Oh and by the way they refused to give us Corporate accounting contact information so we could talk to them directly.
We forwarded the collections agency all our proof of documentation showing we had overpaid and that The Art Institute had indeed not credited all sources properly which led to an investigation on our behalf. We are still currently working with collections to get my daughters account current and get all monies owed to us back.
User's recommendation: Be sure and checcheck

Nothing. No response whatsoever from anyone.
Stay Away!
Worthless piece of paper that cost a LOT of money. No marketable skills taught.

This school is an absolute scam. There is a reason that they are being sued, and that they've had to shut down some of their schools.
